The Spring Yoga Retreat marks its 10th year and each retreat held at Shrine Mont has been different and awesome because we always have wonderful people who attend. Shrine Mont offers hiking and space for contemplative strolls, a labyrinth, pure mineral spring water, and nourishing and delicious, homestyle southern meals. Chefs are also able to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free diets.
The theme this year comes from a song “Feeling Good – Stars when you shine, you know how I feel – Scent of the pine, you know how I feel – Oh, freedom is mine – And I know how I feel.” A weekend to feel the yoga movement, the calming meditation and a beautiful place to feel centered.
Connect with your mind, body, and spirit with a Chakra workshop – that includes yoga, teas and meditations that help you balance and cleanse your chakras. We have two guest yoga teachers – Barbara and Abigail and a guest speaker, Dabney for the Chakra workshop. Please join us for chair, yin, gentle and Hatha yoga to relax and rejuvenate your body. And, of course, meditation for lasting stillness and calm.
Your host for the weekend is Debbie Scalise. She teaches Silver Sneakers and yoga at Valley Fitness. She also teaches a variety of workshops for JMU’s Life Long Learning.
