Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde\, Bishop of the Diocese of Washington\nBishop Mariann serves as spiritual leader for the congregations and Episcopal schools in the District of Columbia and four Maryland counties that comprise the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. The first woman elected to this position\, she also serves as the chair of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation\, which oversees the ministries of the Washington National Cathedral and Cathedral schools..\n  \n  \nFolk Theologian: Ed Kilbourne\n\nWe will be entertained once again by Folk-Theologian ED KILBOURNE. Ed is known for his collections of moving music\, quirky humor\, and insightful monologues. He has earned a reputation as one of America’s cutting edge religious communicators\, a folk-theologian if you will\, offering his teaching in story and song. DESCRIPTION:Summer Camp for Grownups (Fall Edition)\n\nSince our motto is “why should kids have all the fun”\, we will have the usual camp electives and free time. Stay tuned for more program information to come! \nActivities include: \n\nBonfire and cookout\nCoffee House and Talent Show\nSwimming\nTrips to Bryce Resort for golf*\nNapping\nWine tasting and a winery tour*\nHikes to Seven Springs and the Cross\nShopping excursions up and down the Valley*\nSpiritual growth and reflection\n\nAll activities are optional and campers are welcome to spend time rocking on the porch\, reading a book\, going for a walk or doing whatever you want to do to relax and enjoy all that Shrine Mont has to offer. \n*Not included in registration fee \nCamp will start with check in at 4:00 pm on Sunday\, October 12 followed by supper at 5:30 pm.  We end with a closing service on Wednesday morning October 15 and then a final lunch at 12:30pm. \nInterested? DESCRIPTION:Why should kids have all the fun?\n \nMany of us have found that the most lasting memories we have from childhood camp experiences are the relationships and connections that were forged in a unique setting while sharing new experiences together. With that in mind\, the Summer Camp for Grown-Ups began at Shrine Mont in 2012 to give grown-ups an opportunity to make new connections and experience new things in a relaxing and special environment. Join us for our 14th year! \nDuring programming times\, we’ll meet with guest speakers in different Shrine Mont locations\, depending on the topic. Free time activities may include: swimming\, napping\, “porching” with new friends\, golf*\, wine tasting/tours*\, antique shopping*\, hikes\, reading a book\, games– the choice is yours! All activities are optional and campers are welcome to spend time  doing whatever you want to do to relax and enjoy all that Shrine Mont has to offer. \nSample Agenda \nSaturday \n3:30-5:30 P.M.
